Grants are made to compliant organizations with dedicated staff or volunteers who know their target audience and subject matter.
 
Qualifying (2 hrs.) :
My Happy Place will provide an organizational consultant to provide a comprehensive assessment of your agency. If needed, we provide hands-on assistance in getting you compliant. Often times, this will include a customized policy and procedures manual to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. This guides agency behavior and holds future employees or volunteers accountable.
 
Programming (2 hrs.):
We gain insight into your current operations and identify your funding goals. Then, we create a calendar of grant deadlines consistent with your priorities.
 
Fiscal (2 hrs.) :
There are many different types of grants, some require cost share and some do not. All of them require accounting systems to track, manage, and report on any funding received.  We will want to confirm that these are operational prior to applying. If not, we provide suggestions and templates to assist.
 
Data Collection and Analysis (2 hrs. +)
If your agency is lacking subject matter experts, we have staff capable of completing research on behalf of your program. 
 
The Application (2 hrs. +) :
Now that your organization is compliant and you have a working calendar of deadlines, we can assist in the application process.
 
About this Price:
We have requested $500 as a donated retainer. There is also a $50 donation requested for each additional hour. 
 
No Surprises:
After the first 10 hours of service (covered by the retainer), an invoice will be provided for the estimated time it will take to have the application(s) prepared for submission.
 
NOTE: If your organization comes ready for funding, the 10 hours will go toward applications only. Applicants who received assistance from My Happy Place in FY25 are not eligible for "fee-for-service" items.
